The Only Kidney Disease Prevention Non-Profit That Take the Training To Our Community

100% volunteer staff - 501c3 non-profit organization, Health & Awareness is working hard to raise awareness regarding the increasing epidemic of kidney disease – the fastest-growing noncommunicable disease in America.  The positive results received from patients attended  free workshops and training is overwhelming. We not only offer tips but most inmportant, we listen. Our target market are our seniors, the disable, veterans, and the less fortunate individual. Many of our attendees do not own a computer or understand how to operate the online programs.  "We take our training to the community".  Volunteers are welcome!

Vision

To decrease the raising numbers of kidney failure  using easy to understand and the Common Sense  Rules. Focus on understanding lab test results, forget dieting and change eating habits instead, read and followe the nutrician fact lable, know the facts about organ donation and most important remember - The is no such thing as a one size fit all treatment plan.

Our Objectives

-Raise awareness about the cause of Kidney disease. Highlight the facts that diabetes and high blood pressure are key risk factors for Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD).
-Encourage systematic screening of all patients with diabetes and hypertension for CKD.
-Encourage preventive behaviors and healthcare compliance.
-Educate everyone about the key role in detecting and reducing the risk of CKD, particularly in high-risk populations.
-Stress the importance of learning your family health history - if action is not taken, the growing number of people with CKD will continue to increase.
-Encouraged local government to take action and invest in further kidney screening.
-Encourage Transplantation as a best-outcome option for Kidney failure, and the act of organ donation as a life-saving initiative.

Health & Awareness is the ears, eyes and voice for those dealing with health care disparities.

One of Health & Awareness's goals is to educate indiviuals and explaind why honesty, comply with the health care providers orders, encourage health management in the early stage.

Express the important of having a health provider that take an intereste and communicate with them, one that treat them like an individual.

Most important - if a health care provider, does not have time to explain procedures, the purpose of test ordered and does not talk a preventionheart - GREAT A NEW HEALTH CARE PROVIDER.   These are sign of health care disparity treatment.

Free  workshops and training available in the low income community.

We believe "Knowledge is power & Sharing knowledge is Powerful"

As the Founder,  I am confident the more we learn about our system and what works best for us, the less illness we will suffer.  When we choose to take advantage of the prevention strategies that's best for us, the better the results in slowing down the progression of kidney disease and other chronic disease.

The more medicine you take for long periods of time, the greaters risk of side effects causing additional medical problems. "Manage your health".

Prevention is part Health Care Provider & Part Knowing your Body "Common Sense"

People are encourage to keep a journal of what they eat and what affects it have on your bodys, everything from how you sleep, pain, constipation, medication, etc.  Your body reacts to what going into our mout, if we pay attention.

Our Founder is passionate about helping others avoid  the preventable health mistakes he any many like him made due to the lack of knowledge and prevention treatment.  WallACE spent eight years on dialysis, during that time he took an interest in his health and intered over 100 dialysis patients, dialysis nurse, and kidney doctors when he discovered simular risk factors and lack of prevention and knowledge on the patients part. The Governor's fist lady and Ellen Sudderth encouraged him to put the informatin in a health guide book for those he was unable to reach.  "Why Not Me" has been a reward to thousands in helping them better understand the important in taking an active role in their health care treatment and decrease health care disparity when patients are educated and their health providers work together.  Not to mention, when patients are educated, they are better patients.
